About Calcz

Calcz is a collection of free online calculators for school, health, money and science.

What Calcz is

Each calculator does one job and explains how it gets its answer. You can use any of them without creating an account, and everything you enter stays in your browser.

Who runs it

Calcz is an independent project run by one person. It isn’t part of any university, health agency, bank or government body, including the ones we cite as sources. You can reach the person behind it through the Contact page.

How the calculators are built

We rely on published methods and test the arithmetic before a calculator goes live.

  • Formulas and tables come from sources such as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, university registrars and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.
  • Every calculator page explains its method, works through an example, lists its sources and shows when it last changed.
  • Every calculator has automated tests that run against known results and invalid input.

Our Methodology page covers this calculator by calculator.

What Calcz doesn’t do

No doctor, dietitian, financial adviser or registrar reviews these pages. Results are general information, so for decisions that matter, check with a qualified professional or your school.

How Calcz is funded

Calcz is free and doesn’t show ads right now. We may add them later to cover its costs. If we do, they will be labeled, kept separate from the calculators, and described here and in our Privacy Policy. They will never affect results.
